Senate Congratulates Cardamone’s Community Service

The Senate of Pennsylvania recently recognized Robert A. Cardamone of Punxsutawney, PA for his years of commendable service contributing toward the well-being of his local communities and the Commonwealth. The congratulatory Citation sponsored by Senators Scott E. Hutchinson and Joseph Scarnati, III not only recognized Cardamone’s more than 42 years of service with Community Action, Inc., 31 of those years as Executive Director; but also his service to this country, retiring from the United States Army with the rank of Colonel. The Citation, in part, states “Mr. Cardamone has striven to adhere to the highest standards of service and has rightly earned the respect and admiration of his many friends and colleagues.” Cardamone stepped down as Executive Director on June 30, 2018; however, he continues his passion to improve the community and economic opportunities for families and businesses in the area. Cardamone serves with many community organizations and committees and remains a part-time Special Project Manager for Community Action, Inc.
