Community Action, Inc. announced Kate Klimek of New Bethlehem was selected to be the Clarion County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for December. Kate has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since April 2001 volunteering for the Valley Thrift Shop, New Bethlehem Library, and the New Bethlehem Area Food Pantry. When asked why she volunteers, Kate stated, "I enjoy being around people and helping those in need. It is a good feeling knowing someone in need is getting help. The Bible tells us to help one another; that is what I do.” When Kate is not volunteering she enjoys doing embroidery, quilting, reading, and spending time with family and friends. Kate is a member of the New Bethlehem Library Book Club, Distant Senior Center, and St. Charles Catholic Church in New Bethlehem. Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP is very proud to have Kate as a member. She depicts the true spirit of volunteering and is dedicated to making a difference in people's lives.
