Shannon Rosetti, a Senior at Punxsutawney Area High School, chose Community Action, Inc.’s Crossroads Shelters to benefit from her Senior Project. Working with the Dollar Tree Stores in DuBois and Punxsutawney, Shannon gathered 776 products worth $822.56 for Crossroad's DuBois facility and 231 products worth $244.86 for Crossroad's Punxsutawney facility. Items donated included: school supplies; children’s books and toys; medications; kitchen and bath supplies; and personal hygiene items. Crossroads provides shelter for victims of domestic violence in Clearfield and Jefferson Counties. Shelter beds are consistently full; families are waiting for assistance. Shelters rely heavily on donations. If you would like to donate, or if your organization, church, school, or business would like to sponsor a collection drive, please call the Crossroads Office nearest you: Brookville 849-2779; Clearfield 768-7200; DuBois 371-1223; Punxsutawney 938-3580 or toll free 1-800-938-3998.
