Community Action, Inc. Names CLARION County Senior Corps-RSVP July Volunteer of the Month

Community Action, Inc. announced Joyce Maitland of Cranberry was selected to be the Clarion County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for July. Joyce has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since May 1997. However Joyce has been volunteering for 30 years at the Clarion Hospital information desk helping direct people within the hospital, deliver flowers, and performs other errands as needed. When asked why she volunteers, Joyce stated, "Volunteering at the hospital was something I have always wanted to do; many years ago I had surgery and a volunteer helped me, that is when I decided I wanted to volunteer at the hospital. You get a great gift of satisfaction helping people." When Joyce is not volunteering, she enjoys sending cards to family and friends, reading, crossword puzzling, playing games, walking, and spending time with her family. She is a member of the Clarion Garden Club and attends Grace Evangelical Congregational Church in Ninevah. Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP is very proud to have Joyce as a member.
