Community Action, Inc. announced Dolores (Dee) Sherman of Mayport was selected to be the Clarion County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for June. Dee has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since August 1996 volunteering for Clarion and Brookville Hospitals receiving supplies, conducting patient call backs, transporting patients, and assembling patient charts. Dee has also volunteered for many years with Jefferson County Area Agency on Aging's APPRISE Program. Dee is a retired registered nurse and continues to use her skills and talents doing what she loves, helping people! When asked why she volunteers, Dee stated, "I get great satisfaction helping people and helping the nursing staff at both hospitals.” When Dee is not volunteering, she enjoys reading, traveling abroad and spending time with her family. She is a member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Brookville and the Cinderella Red Hat Society. Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP is very proud to have Dee as a member.
