Community Action, Inc.’s Local Education and Resource Network (LEARN) Project partnered with the DuBois-Jefferson Kid Council to hold a Story Walk with Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” Families with children birth to five years old were invited to Brockway’s Taylor Memorial Park for a morning filled with crafts, storytelling, free books and nutritious snacks. Community Action, Inc.’s LEARN Project has many resources available for parents about quality early learning including: tips for choosing a child care facility; developmentally appropriate practices; and ensuring your child has a successful and smooth transition into kindergarten.
