Jefferson County Senior Corps-RSVP May Volunteer of the Month

Community Action, Inc. announced Carole Hoeh of Punxsutawney was selected to be the Jefferson County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for May. Carole has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since January 2003 volunteering for Punxsutawney REACT assisting with emergency or disaster traffic control, as well as with community events and providing emergency aid to individuals. Carole also volunteers at REACT's annual Memorial Day weekend “Safety Wake Break” promoting traveler highway and personal safety. In addition, she volunteers at Jefferson County Area Agency on Aging's Pine Street Senior Center helping with activities and special events. When asked why she volunteers, Carole stated, "I enjoy volunteering. I like to be around people and help those in need. I have met a lot of people while volunteering and have formed many friendships.” When Carole is not volunteering, she enjoys bowling, playing the card game Phase Ten with her friends, doing word search puzzles and spending time with her husband, Charlie. She is a member of the Restoration Branch Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP is very proud to have Carole as a member.
