Jefferson County Senior Corps-RSVP April Volunteer of the Month

Community Action, Inc. announced Myrna Haines of Reynoldsville was selected to be the Jefferson County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for April. Myrna has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since March 2010 and currently volunteers for Jefferson County Area Agency on Aging's Reynoldsville Foundry Senior Center. Myrna assists with decorating the Center for holidays, secretarial duties, fundraisers and with whatever else needs done. In addition, she helps make children’s blankets for Project Linus. When asked why she volunteers Myrna stated, "I enjoy volunteering and attending the Center, it keeps me active and I enjoy the socialization.” When Myrna is not volunteering, she enjoys playing the guitar, oil painting and spending time with her family and friends. She is a member of the Reynoldsville Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP is very proud to have Myrna as a member.
