Community Action, Inc. Names INDIANA County<br/>Senior Corps-RSVP February Volunteer of the Month

Community Action, Inc. announced Shirley Patterson of Indiana was selected to be the Indiana County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for February. Shirley has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since July 1998 volunteering for many local nursing homes assisting with resident craft activities. Shirley also volunteers for the Senior Corps-RSVP Warm Hearts-Warm Hands Project knitting and delivering handmade mittens to Head Start children and at the American Red Cross Blood Mobiles helping in the canteen. When asked why she volunteers Shirley stated, "I enjoy volunteering, it keeps me active. I enjoy the people I meet and helping the children and the seniors." When Shirley is not volunteering, she enjoys crafts and spending time with her family. Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP is very proud to have Shirley as a member.
