Community Action, Inc. Names INDIANA County Senior Corps-RSVP November Volunteer of the Month

Community Action, Inc. announced Doris Hicks of Marion Center was selected to be the Indiana County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for November. Doris has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since November 2011 volunteering for the Indiana County Pennsylvania Senior Environmental Corps (PASEC) performing water testing and data logger monitoring. Doris also volunteers for the Evergreen Conservancy helping the first aid station at 5k events and baking for events, and for Aging Services, Inc.'s Mahoning Hills Senior Center. When asked why she volunteers, Doris stated, "I love the outdoors and volunteering with my husband Paul; volunteering keeps us active.” When Doris is not volunteering, she enjoys spending time with her family, stamp collecting, and baking.
