Community Action, Inc. Names JEFFERSON County Senior Corps-RSVP July Volunteer of the Month

Community Action, Inc. announced Dorothy Reyna of Punxsutawney was selected to be the Jefferson County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for July. Dorothy has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since September 2010 volunteering for Jefferson County Area Agency on Aging's Pine Street Senior Center where she assists with making the morning coffee, serving meals, helping in the kitchen, and setting up for special activities. Dorothy also volunteers to transport senior citizens to and from medical appointments, shopping and errands, and previously volunteered at the American Red Cross. When asked why she volunteers, Dorothy stated, "I enjoy volunteering, it gives me a chance to get out and meet new people. It keeps me active and I enjoy helping those in need.“ When Dorothy is not volunteering, she enjoys watching television, writing books and poetry, and spending time with her family. She is a member of The National Fraternity of the Secular Franciscan Order and S.S. Cosmas and Damian Church. Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP is very proud to have Dorothy as a member.
