Community Action, Inc. Names INDIANA County Senior Corps-RSVP July Volunteer of the Month

Community Action, Inc. announced Esther Akins of Clymer was selected to be the Indiana County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for July. Esther has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since July 2010 volunteering at Aging Services, Inc.’s Two Lick Senior Social Center in Clymer. Esther helps the Center by making crafts for fundraisers and cleaning up after lunch and special activities. When asked why she volunteers, Esther stated, "I enjoy coming to the Center and doing what I can to help out. This is a wonderful Center to attend and volunteer. Everyone who comes here is very friendly and makes everyone feel welcome.” When Esther is not volunteering, she enjoys crossword puzzles, crafting, fishing, and spending time with her family and friends. She attends the Lighthouse Morning Star Ministry Church in Cherry Tree. Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP is very proud to have Esther as a member.
