Indiana County Senior Corps-RSVP April Volunteer of the Month

Community Action, Inc. announced Dan Miller of Home was selected to be the Indiana County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for April. Dan has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since July 2011 volunteering for Aging Services Inc.’s Telephone Reassurance Program. Dan assists with making daily phone calls to frail elderly residents in Indiana County. These calls provide socialization to the elderly and ensure their well-being. When asked why he volunteers, Dan stated, "I enjoy volunteering and talking to the people. I get immediate satisfaction when I talk to them and know they are ok.” When Dan is not volunteering, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing his guitar, riding his motorcycle and watching College and High School sports.
