Community Action, Inc. announced Betty Kunkle of Black Lick was selected to be the Indiana County Senior Corps-RSVP Volunteer of the Month for March. Betty has been a member of the Senior Corps-RSVP since June 2001 volunteering for Aging Services Inc.’s Chestnut Hills Senior Center. Betty assists with secretarial duties such as phoning the home delivered meal recipients and scheduling bus pick-ups and tax appointments. Betty also conducts a senior exercise class at the Center and serves on Aging Services Inc.'s Advisory Board. When asked why she volunteers, Betty stated, "I enjoy the Center and helping those who need help. Volunteering keeps me active.” When Betty is not volunteering she enjoys spending time with her family and especially the grandchildren. Betty is a member of the Blacklick Volunteer Firemen’s Ladies Auxiliary and the Blacklick United Methodist Church. Community Action, Inc.'s Senior Corps-RSVP is very proud to have Betty as a member.
