CARES Rent Relief Program

The CARES Rent Relief Program (CARES RRP) was established to provide rental assistance to households experiencing job loss or substantial loss of income as a result of the COVID-19 health crisis. Program information may be found at https://phfa.org/pacares.

Eligibility

Eligible lessees must:

Must reside in Jefferson County, and
Have annual income at or below the area median income (see table), and
Have become unemployed after March 1, 2020 due to COVID -19; or be experiencing 30% or more of a reduction in annual income resulting from reduced work hours/wages due to COVID-19, and
Be at least 30 days past due on their monthly rent payments

Application Instructions

Complete the 3 applications/certifications provided below and W-9 form (The applications/certifications require both renter and landlord involvement).
Submit the 3 completed applications/certifications and W-9 form (landlord) along with the required supporting documentation (as identified in the applications/certifications) by email to [email protected] or by mail to:
